Christmas markets in Italy
Bolzano and Merano in South Tyrol, Verona at the foot of the Arena: Italy’s Christmas markets run down from the Dolomites to the nativity scenes of Naples, mostly from mid-November to Epiphany. From France, the TGV and Frecciarossa Paris-Turin-Milan trains have been running again since spring 2025 (no direct services from 11 September to 9 October 2026), the Munich-Innsbruck Railjet serves South Tyrol over the Brenner, and by car you take the Mont Blanc or Fréjus tunnel.
