The Seville Christmas market is first and foremost a nativity fair: the Feria del Belén sets up between the cathedral and the Archivo de Indias, on calle Fray Ceferino González and the avenida de la Constitución. The Asociación de Comerciantes del Belén de Sevilla (ACOBE) organises it with the City’s Delegación de Fiestas Mayores. In 2025, its 32nd edition opened from 8 November to 23 December. The 2026 dates are to be confirmed. Around it, Seville celebrates Christmas through nativity scenes: a belenes trail, five neighbourhood markets and the Ateneo’s Cabalgata, which has paraded since 1918.
2026 dates and opening hours of the Feria del Belén
The 2026 dates are to be confirmed. Past editions set the frame: from 28 October to 23 December 2023 for the 30th edition, from 8 November to 23 December 2025 for the 32nd. Closing falls on 23 December, opening varies between late October and early November.
In 2025, the stalls opened Monday to Friday from 10:30am to 2pm and from 5pm to 9pm, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11am to 3pm and from 4:30pm to 9:30pm. The fair is held in the street, with free entry.
A nativity fair with more than thirty editions
Every year the traders present new nativity figurines and buildings, many of them made by the traders themselves. You will find nativity scenes from every part of the world, “in particular traditional Andalusian ones”.
The nativity trail and the lights
Nativity scenes are the real draw of Christmas in Seville, and you visit them on foot. In 2025, the ruta de los belenes opened some fifteen nativity scenes to the public, several with free entry, from the Arquillo of the Ayuntamiento to the Parliament of Andalusia, by way of the Fundación Cajasol on the plaza de San Francisco, the Círculo Mercantil on calle Sierpes and the brotherhoods’ scenes. Entry was free at the Fundación Cajasol, open every day from 11am to 9pm, at the Círculo Mercantil and at the Carmelitas Descalzos.
The lights were switched on on 29 November 2025 in 300 streets, and a mapping show lit up the plaza de San Francisco from 6:30pm to 11pm.
Seville’s other Christmas markets
The Feria de Artesanía Creativa de Navidad has left the plaza Nueva, where it gathered around 70 stalls in 2023 next to the city hall: since 2024, it occupies the Jardines de Cristina. Its 26th edition took place from 5 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, from 11am to 3pm and from 5pm to 9pm, closed on 24, 25 and 31 December and on 1 January. The plaza Nueva hosts the twelve chimes of midnight on 31 December.
Four other sites rounded off the 2025-2026 season. Setalandia, on the central square of the Setas (plaza de la Encarnación), from 25 November 2025 to 5 January 2026, from 11am to 10pm, closed on 24 and 31 December: wooden chalets, Santa’s house and a carousel. The Mercado de Navidad on the Alameda de Hércules and its 30 chalets of churros, buñuelos and chestnuts, from 6 to 23 December in 2024, with no written dates for 2025. The plaza de la Magdalena, with 25 kiosks hand-decorated by Sevillian artisans, from 1 December to 6 January, from 11am to 3pm and from 5pm to 9pm. The Prado de San Sebastián, from 29 November 2025 to 6 January 2026, from noon to 11pm, with a large covered ice rink, rides and a craft market.
The Ateneo’s Cabalgata, since 1918
On 5 January 1918, a procession set off from calle Lombardos with ox carts loaded with sweets and toys. The Ateneo de Sevilla has organised the Cabalgata de Reyes Magos of 5 January ever since. For the 2027 edition, the draw for places on the floats is set for 22 October 2026.

Our tip
The Feria del Belén closes between 2pm and 5pm on weekdays: come in the morning or at the end of the day, then follow the nativity trail, where several belenes had free entry in 2025. The 2026 dates may fall as early as late October: check them before you book.
