Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, London’s Christmas park in pictures
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is London’s Christmas theme park: more than 150 attractions, rides and shows set up in the eastern part of Hyde Park, from Thursday 19 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, every day except 25 December. Entry is booked for a time slot: £1 off-peak, £5.50 in standard periods, £8.25 at peak times, with rides and shows paid for separately. The park has existed since 2007. The chalets of the Bavarian Village and the Market Square are one backdrop among others: for the city’s Christmas markets in the strict sense, read our listing of London Christmas markets.
2026-2027 dates and opening hours
The park closes at 10pm every evening. It opens at 10am most days, with later mornings: 12pm on 19 and 20 November, from 23 to 26 November, on 30 November and 2 December; 2pm on 1 December; 11am on 27 November, 3 and 4 December, from 7 to 11 December, from 14 to 18 December and from 28 December to 1 January. On 25 December, the park is closed.
Tickets: booked entry, from £1 off-peak
Every visitor aged 2 and over chooses a one-hour entry slot, between 10am and 8pm. Off-peak slots cost £1, booking fee included, standard slots £5.50 and peak slots £8.25; on the day, the ticket costs more. The organiser gives free entry from £25 of purchases paid online, in advance, in a single transaction (rides, attractions, packages, meals). Rides, the ice rink, the circus and the shows have their own tickets. Reread the price list when you book: prices change according to dates and slots.
Chalets, rides, ice rink and circus
The zones give a sense of the park’s scale: the Bavarian Village and the Market Square line up the chalets and bars; Santa Land, Thrillville, the ice rink, the Magical Ice Kingdom and the circus make up the rest of the more than 150 attractions, rides and shows announced. The park has been running in Hyde Park since 2007, with The Royal Parks among its partners.
Getting to Winter Wonderland
The park has four gates, to be chosen according to your Underground station: Red Gate from Bond Street or Marble Arch, Blue Gate from Hyde Park Corner, Green Park or Victoria, Green Gate from Knightsbridge or High Street Kensington, and Gold Gate from Marble Arch or Paddington. For the chalets of the Bavarian Village and the markets, the organiser recommends the Green Gate.
From Paris, Eurostar quotes 2 hr 17 min for most of its trains; from Brussels, 2 hr 1 min. By air, compare the airlines serving London from your city when you book. In the same Christmas funfair spirit, Wonderland Lisboa mixes a Ferris wheel, an ice rink and a market in Parque Eduardo VII; for another capital over a weekend, the Budapest Christmas market opens from 13 November 2026 to 1 January 2027.
Our tip
Book your entry slot in advance: on the day, the ticket costs more and the most popular slots go fast. For the chalets of the Bavarian Village and the markets, enter through the Green Gate, on the Knightsbridge side. Opening times in the morning vary (10am, 11am, 12pm or 2pm depending on the day): check the time for your date before you come. Rides and shows are paid for on top of the entry ticket.
