Icehotel 37, the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi

The Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, near Kiruna, in Swedish Lapland, has published the opening date of its winter edition: ICEHOTEL 37 opens on 11 December 2026. The permanent part, Icehotel 365, can be visited all year round, and the hotel offers a “Celebrate Christmas at ICEHOTEL” package for the holidays. The day visit costs 325 SEK per adult, a price valid until December 2026; the winter 2026-2027 price list had not been published as of 12 October 2026.

ICEHOTEL 37 opening and 2026-2027 visits

The winter edition, ICEHOTEL 37, opens on 11 December 2026. Icehotel 365 stays open all year round and can be visited during the day. For the Christmas period, the hotel highlights a “Celebrate Christmas at ICEHOTEL” offer: a two- or three-day package with one night in a cold room and one in a warm room, ice sculpting, sled dogs and gingerbread.

Day visit prices

As of 12 October 2026, the tickets page shows a price valid from 13 April 2026 to December 2026: 325 SEK per adult, 225 SEK for students and seniors, 39 SEK for children aged 4 to 12, free up to age 3 with a paying adult. Tickets are bought on site, without booking, and payment is cashless. The winter 2026-2027 price, the one that will apply to ICEHOTEL 37, is not yet published; we will add it as soon as it comes out.

Getting to Jukkasjärvi

Jukkasjärvi lies near Kiruna. Kiruna airport has no direct flight from London, France, Belgium or Switzerland for winter 2026-2027: Kiruna Lapland lists Stockholm all year round, Copenhagen from 17 December 2026 to 7 March 2027 and Düsseldorf with Eurowings from 6 February to 20 March 2027. From London, Paris, Brussels or Geneva, you need a connection, in Stockholm all year round or in Copenhagen from 17 December. For the transfer between the airport and the hotel, ask the Icehotel.

Kiruna has no Christmas market: for December 2026, the official events calendar lists a Christmas dinner at Camp Ripan from 4 to 11 December and the opening of the Icehotel. In Swedish Lapland, the only Christmas market published for 2026 is Hägnan’s, in Gammelstad near Luleå, on 5 and 6 December, with tickets.
