Pérouges Christmas Market

In the medieval walled village of Pérouges, some 40 km north-east of Lyon, the Christmas market used to bring close to a hundred artisans, producers and makers into the cobbled streets. One thing to know straight away: there is no 2026 edition. The organiser says so itself, with no return date announced.

Our tip

Until the organiser announces a new date, head for Lyon (40 km) or Bourg-en-Bresse (34 km) for your Christmas market. Pérouges itself can be visited all year round, and its cobbled lanes lose nothing without the stalls. Bring cash: there is no ATM in the village.
